Honored to receive Triple Crown Award from Toastmasters International for the 5th consecutive year in a row.
For me, it’s less about the number and more about what it reflects…the compound effect of showing up, being consistent, and slowly sharpening the craft of storytelling and communication. Each speech, each evaluation, and each mentoring session has been a step in learning how to deliver a message that truly resonates.
I owe much of this to the incredible support system around me. Thank you YMCA KL TMC and the many inspirational figures in District 51 leaders like DTM Carmen, DTM Radzi, DTM Lucky, DTM Benny Chia, and countless others who have set the bar high and kept me motivated.
But most of all, my heart goes back to my late father. When I was just 9, he gave me a copy of The Art of Public Speaking by Dale Carnegie. He was always thrilled to see me carrying forward his love for public speaking. This milestone is as much his as it is mine. Love you, Dad. ❤️
With that, I will be taking a short break from my six-year Toastmasters journey. After my father’s sudden passing, I feel called to realign some priorities, to channel more energy into humanitarian work and causes where I can create broader impact (something I am fortunate to already contribute toward in my professional life through AIBD).
Here’s to growth, gratitude, and carrying forward the voices that inspire us.
