I work with public broadcasters, UN agencies, government ministries, INGOs, and media development institutions across Asia-Pacific. Every engagement starts with a clear problem and ends with something your organization can actually use — a framework, a trained team, a delivered session, or a programme that runs without me in the room.

I take on single sessions, workshops, and project-based assignments. All engagements are inquiry-based. Contact me to discuss scope, timeline, and fit.

SERVICE 1:

AI Governance Consulting

Most organizations know they need to respond to AI. Very few know how to govern it — especially in media, communication, and development contexts where editorial integrity, public trust, and institutional accountability are on the line.

I help organizations move from reactive to deliberate. That means assessing where AI is already entering your workflows, identifying the governance gaps, and building the frameworks your teams need to make decisions consistently and responsibly.

This service is relevant if your organization is:

  • Adopting AI tools in a newsroom, training, or communication function without clear policy
  • Designing an AI governance or ethics framework from scratch
  • Advising governments or broadcasters on responsible AI adoption
  • Preparing leadership for AI-related decision-making at an institutional level

What an engagement typically includes:

  • AI readiness assessment and gap analysis
  • Governance framework design tailored to your institutional context
  • Policy recommendations and editorial guidelines
  • Leadership briefing sessions or board-level workshops

SERVICE 2:

Capacity Building & Training Design

I’ve designed and delivered over 137 training programs across 30+ countries for public broadcasters, UN agencies, journalism institutions, and government media bodies. I don’t deliver off-the-shelf programs. Every engagement starts with a Training Needs Analysis — because the gap in one institution is never the same as the gap in another.

My training design is grounded in ISO 9001:2015 quality standards, blended learning principles, and over two decades of understanding how media professionals actually learn in practice.

Topics I train on include:

  • AI literacy and responsible AI adoption for media professionals
  • Mobile journalism and digital newsroom workflows
  • Development communication and SDG reporting
  • Intercultural communication and cross-cultural leadership
  • Public speaking and communication for media practitioners
  • Training of Trainers (ToT) for institutional capacity systems

What an engagement typically includes:

  • Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
  • Custom curriculum and module design
  • Facilitated workshop delivery — in-person or virtual
  • Post-training evaluation and reporting

SERVICE 3:

Speaking & Facilitation

I speak at regional and international conferences, institutional events, and leadership forums on AI governance in media, the future of public broadcasting, SDG-aligned development communication, and intercultural leadership in Asia-Pacific.

My sessions are built for senior professional audiences — broadcast executives, UN programme officers, government officials, and media development practitioners. I don’t deliver motivational keynotes. I deliver structured analysis, practical frameworks, and the kind of perspective that comes from 26 years inside the institutions your audience works with.

Speaking topics include:

  • AI Governance for Media Institutions — Frameworks for Responsible Adoption
  • The Future of Public Service Broadcasting in Asia-Pacific
  • Media, SDGs, and the Role of Communication in Development
  • Building Media Capacity That Lasts — Lessons from 137 Programs
  • Intercultural Leadership in International Media Development
  • Human-in-the-Loop — Why AI Cannot Replace Editorial Judgment

What I offer:

  • Conference keynotes
  • Panel facilitation and moderation
  • Workshop facilitation for organizational teams
  • Executive briefing sessions

SERVICE 4:

SDG Media Development

Media plays a direct role in whether the Sustainable Development Goals get communicated, understood, and acted on — or ignored. I work with UN agencies, INGOs, development organizations, and national media bodies to design and deliver media development programs that are explicitly aligned with SDG mandates and reporting frameworks.

This isn’t generic media training repackaged with SDG branding. I’ve collaborated directly with UNESCO, UNDP, UNICEF, ILO, IOM, and ITU on programs across Asia-Pacific. I understand how these organizations plan, fund, evaluate, and report on media development work — and I design engagements that fit inside those systems, not outside them.

This service is relevant if your organization is:

  • Designing a media development programme under a UN or INGO mandate
  • Training journalists or communicators on SDG reporting and development communication
  • Building media capacity in a Pacific, ASEAN, or SAARC country context
  • Evaluating or redesigning an existing media development initiative

SDG alignment:

  • SDG 4 — Quality Education: institutional training design and professional capacity building
  • SDG 16 — Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: AI governance, media integrity, and responsible information ecosystems
